Celebration of World HIV Aids Vaccine Awarenewss Day

World AIDS Vaccine Day or HIV Vaccine Awareness Day is observed every year on 18 May. This day marks the efforts of thousands of researchers, scientists, and health professionals who have contributed to the process of finding safe and effective AIDS medicine. It is also an opportunity to educate communities about the importance of preventive HIV vaccine research. Under the esteemed guidance of S. Birindar Singh Sidhu, IPS (Retd. DGP), President, Pritam Singh Johal, (Secretary), S. Gurinder Singh Grewal, (Manager) of the Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal) IQAC, Day Celebration Committee and Red Ribbon Cell of GHG Institute of Law, celebrated the World HIV AIDS Vaccine awareness Day on 16.05.25 through the discussion session. In this session, students shared their views on the Causes and precautions of HIV AIDS and adoption of healthy life style.
At the end, Dr. Shweta Dhand appreciated the efforts of everyone to make it a fruitful event.

It is a proud moment to share that Prabhjot Kaur, student of B.A.LL.B (Hons.) 7th Semester brought laurels to the institution by securing 2nd position among Top Five University Positions in December 2024, Final Examinations  result declared by Panjab University Chandigarh. She has scored 457/ 600 marks.

Crime Scene Investigation Competition in First National Law Fest-2025 "Vidhi Utsav"

It is a matter of great pride that two students from our institute namely Ayusha and Harjeet Kaur of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 10th Semester, participated in the Crime Scene Investigation Competition in First National Law Fest-2025 “Vidhi Utsav” organized by Faculty of Law, Guru Kashi University, Bathinda on 29th and 30th of April, 2025.  The students secured First Position in this Competition and won Trophies, Winner Certificate, Certificate of participation, Medals and a cash prize worth Rs. 7000. In this particular competition a total of 21 teams participated which included teams from various institutions all across the country and advocates too. This competition was judged by one Forensic Expert, Investigating Officer and a Professor specializing in forensic science.

G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, an educational institution, running under the patronage of Shri Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, organized ‘Jashn-e-Bahara’ , Farewell Party in the college premises on 24th April, 2025..

This function was organized especially for two outgoing classes B.A.LL.B. 10th semester and LL.B. 6th semester students. The junior students gave an emotional farewell to the senior students. A cultural program was full of dance performances. The modelling, talent hunt and question answer rounds of this event were especially noteworthy in which students show their skills, express their thoughts and feelings.

B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 8th semester students Prabhjot Kaur and Dakshita Jain coordinated the stage efficiently. Games competition was also organized for the modelling participants.
In the modelling of B.A.LL.B. 10th semester, Sargunjot Kaur was declared “Miss Farewell” Shyna “First Runner Up” and Ayusha as “ Second Runner Up”.
Apart from this, students also won different titles namely Jugraj Kaur ‘Miss Shan-e-Batch’, Arshjot ‘Miss Beauty with Brain’, Vaibhavi ‘Miss Sunshine’, Isha Sood ‘Miss Most Creative’ and Mandeep Kaur won the title of ‘Beautiful Smile’.

Among LL.B 6th Semester students, Joe Frazier won the title of ‘Mr. Fresher’ and Bikramjit Singh won the title of ‘First Runner Up’. Among girl students, Harpreet Kaur grabbed the title of ‘Miss Fresher’ and Chanda Shah as ‘First Runner Up’.

Dr. Neelam Rani and Dr. Lovely Sharma were the judges of this Competition.

College Principal, Associate Prof. (Dr.) Shweta Dhand congratulated the winners and also congratulated the Event Incharges Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Dr. Neelam Rani, Dr. Lovely Sharma and Miss Charu Joshi. for successfully conducting this event.

(Advocates cum Mediators) guided students about mediation and amicable settlement. The students witnessed proceedings held under them. Mediation is a process wherein the parties meet with a mutually selected impartial and neutral person who assists them in the negotiation of their differences. Medation also reduces the burden of courts,faster and confidential. From this visit, student gained good practical experience.

Earth Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and its resources. It’s a global event that encourages individuals, communities, and governments to take action to preserve and protect the environment for future generations. Under the esteemed guidance of S. Birindar Singh Sidhu, IPS (Retd. DGP), President, Pritam Singh Johal, (Secretary), S. Gurinder Singh Grewal, (Manager) of the Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal) IQAC and Day Celebration Committee of GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, successfully celebrated the Earth Day through the Preservation Plan of action in the college campus. The theme for Earth Day 2025 is ‘Our power, Our planet’.In this event, students participated with full zeal. They lookedafter the plants, nurture the Vermi- Compost Unit and implant the trees being the part of this programme and promised to protect the environment including reducing personal waste, conserving energy, and supporting sustainable practices.
At the end, Dr. Shweta Dhand appreciated the efforts of everyone to make it a fruitful event.

One Day Educational Trip to Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh on 21.04.2025

Under the patronage of S. Birindar Singh Sidhu, (President), Pritam Singh Johal, (Secretary), S. Gurinder Singh Grewal, (Manager) of SGHG Ujagar Hari Trust and esteemed guidance of Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal),

G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana organized a one-day educational trip to the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, on 21st April 2025. Four Faculty Incharges and 45 students from B.A.LL.B (Hons.) and LL.B Courses have visited the High Court.

During the visit, students observed live court proceedings in various courtrooms and gained first-hand knowledge about court decorum, legal arguments, case hearings, and procedural aspects. The trip also included an informative interaction with practicing advocates and legal officers who shared valuable insights into the workings of the judiciary and the legal profession.
A special highlight of the visit was the interactive session with Mr. Gagandeep Singh Jammu, Secretary of the Bar Association of Punjab and Haryana High Court, who warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of dedication, ethical practice, and continuous learning in the legal field. The President encouraged students to remain updated with current legal developments and inspired them to contribute meaningfully to the justice delivery system.

The students also visited the High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, where they were briefed about the concept of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and the pivotal role mediation plays in reducing the burden on the judiciary.

The trip was meticulously planned and executed under the dedicated supervision of faculty in-charges Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Dr. Neelam Rani, Dr. Jasbir Kaur, and Ms. Neha Minocha, whose guidance and coordination ensured a smooth and enriching experience for all participants.

Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana has attended Intellectual Property & Technology Transfer Workshop organised by MOE’s Innovation Cell, AICTE, New Delhi and Institution’s Innovation Council held at ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga (Punjab) on 16th April 2025.

Dr. Rahul Taneja, Scientist, Regd. Patent and Trademark agent, HSCSIT, Panchkula and Mr. Ankit Gawri, Manager (IP & Technology Transfer) AICTE-MIC Indovation Center, Chandigarh were the Resource Persons.

In this Workshop, Resource Persons throw light on Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights and their violations in India, MIC initiatives, Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer and Technology Transfer & IP Commercialization.

Parent-Teacher Meeting organised at G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd on 19.4.2025. IQAC of G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, organized a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) on April 19, 2025, under the able guidance of Dr. Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal. The PTM aimed to provide detailed progress reports and academic updates to the parents, fostering effective communication between the institution and families.


The meeting was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Jaswinder (Vice Principal and AssociateProfessor), Dr. Jaspal Kaur (Asst. Professor in Law), Dr. Jasbir Kaur, (Asst. Professor in Law) and Ms. Neha Minocha (Asst. Professor in Law). A large number of parents attended the meeting and appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the dedicated efforts of the faculty in ensuring the academic and personal growth of the students.


Dr. Shweta Dhand Officiating Principal and Dr. Jaswinder (Vice Principal and committee member) appreciated the sincere efforts of the organizing team in making the event successful. They also emphasized the importance of strong parent-teacher collaboration for the holistic development of students.
