G.H.G Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana organized Moot Exam( Civil) of LL.B 6th Semester on 16th April 2025 as part of academic curriculum prescribed by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The Exam was judged by Dr. Jaswinder (Associate Prof. in Laws), Ms. Baljit Kaur, and Ms. Neha Minocha (Assistant Professor in Laws). Students appear for Exam and show their moot skills by participating in Moot exam.

On the occasion of **World Health Day**, an awareness programme on *Health and Fitness* was successfully organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit. This event, aimed at promoting health, fitness, and personal hygiene, was conducted in alignment with the guidelines and directives from the Ministry of Youth Affairs. The programme was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Shweta Dhand off. principal, with a focus on creating awareness about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

The event included discussions on various aspects of health, fitness, and personal hygiene, encouraging participants to adopt healthier habits for their overall well-being. In addition, the NSS Unit distributed hygiene-related goodies to the NSS girl volunteers, which consisted of essential products that support personal care and hygiene practices. Dr. Jaspal Kaur Assistant (Professor in Laws) the Programme Officer of NSS, was instrumental in organizing and coordinating the entire event, ensuring that all arrangements were made for its smooth execution. The event was well-received by the participants, who gained valuable knowledge about maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. During the event, Dr. Shweta Dhand off. Principal and Dr. Jaswinder the Vice Principal, acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit for organizing such an impactful programme. They expressed their gratitude for the continuous efforts to promote health and well-being among students and the community at large.

The programme was a success and aligned with the vision to promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of youth through various initiatives and awareness campaigns. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, recognizing the active participation and efforts of all involved in making the event successful. The Mid-Semester Tests (MST) for B.A. LL.B (Hons) 5 year course and LL.B 3 year course at G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, are being conducted from 4th April 2025 to 12 April 2025 under the able guidance of Dr. Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal, by the MST Committee, consisting of Ms. Baljit Kaur and Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Assistant Professors in Laws. These exams are a key milestone for assessing the academic progress of students in their law studies.


MSTs play a crucial role in helping both students and faculty evaluate the understanding and application of learned concepts midway through the semester. They provide an opportunity for students to identify areas of improvement and make necessary adjustments before the final exams. For faculty, it serves as a checkpoint to gauge the effectiveness of their teaching and to address any challenges students may be facing in their coursework.


The faculty members are performing their duties with full dedication, ensuring that the examination process runs smoothly and efficiently. Participation by G.H.G Institute of Law in Rally on Drug Awareness Organized by Department of Youth and Welfare, Government of Punjab

The Department of Youth and Welfare, Government of Punjab, organized a Drug Awareness Rally to educate the public about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a drug-free society. The rally witnessed active participation from 50 students of the NSS unit of GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, along with Associate Professor Dr. Jaswinder (Vice Principal) and Assistant Professor Dr. Jaspal Kaur (NSS Program Officer) under the guidance of Officiating Principal Dr. Shweta Dhand.


The event aimed to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction, particularly among the youth, and to encourage a healthy and responsible lifestyle. Participants marched through key areas, holding placards and banners with impactful messages against drug abuse. They also engaged with the local community, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to eradicate this social evil.


Addressing the rally, Hon’ble CM S. Bhagwant Singh Maan highlighted the responsibility of educational institutions in shaping a drug-free future and commended the students for their enthusiastic participation. Sh. Arvind Kejriwal (Former CM Delhi) reinforced the importance of awareness campaigns and social initiatives in combating the rising menace of drug addiction. Sh. Parveen Goyal, Coordinator NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh was also present in the rally.


The rally concluded with a pledge by all participants to work towards a drug-free Punjab. The initiative was well received by the local community and served as a reminder of the urgent need for societal action against substance abuse.

Under the esteemed guidance of S. Birindar Singh Sidhu, IPS (Retd. DGP), President of the SGHG Ujagar Hari Trust, Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal), Dr. Jaswinder (Vice Principal) of Our Institute celebrated the International Women’s Day on 12th March, 2025 with Full enthusiasm. It was celebrated through the ‘ Entrepreneurship Skill Programme – Self Help Group ‘ in which students installed the stalls on various items like Food Items, Make-over, Nail art, Soft Drinks,Shakes, Bakery items, mehandi and art exhibition etc. In this programme, above 50 students took the part. Dr. Amandeep Kaur (Principal GHG Harparkash of Education), Ms. Daljit Kaur (Principal Sikh Girl Sen. Sec. School) and Dr. Puneeta Sharma (Principal GHG Public School) performed the duty of Jury. They assessed the performance of the Entrepreneurs on the basis of quality, creativity and presentation. Dr. Satinder Kaur (Principal Khalsa College for Women) and Dr Pawan Kumar (Principal of GHG Institute of Pharmacy) graced the occasion with their presence. Faculty members and Students from sister institutes were also invited.

An educational tour to Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur was conducted under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Shweta Dhand and Vice Principal Dr. Jaswinder in which 46 students from B.A.LL.B. 10th, 8th and 6th Sem and LL.B 6th, 4th and 1st Sem visited Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur on March 05, 2025.


In-charge of this Educational Tour were Assistant Professors Dr. Jaspal Kaur, Dr. Neelam Rani and Ms. Neha Minocha.
Mr. Shamsher Saddiqui, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur was the coordinator of this educational trip welcomed teachers and students. The tour started with the introduction of various traffic rules by the Sub Inspector of Punjab Traffic Police. He said that ignoring traffic rules is a direct invitation to death.


The students next visited the Finger Print Bureau which has been functioning since 1894 and is the second oldest Bureau in the country. Finger print expert Mr. Munish Kumar explained every aspect of taking finger prints. which includes a practical demonstration of raising fingerprints from various articles and the fingerprint filling of the accused.
After this the Forensic Science Laboratory was visited. It was conducted by Mrs. Gagandeep Kaur and a drug expert. She told that various tool kits, forensic medicine and forensic science related things were used during the investigation. AShe also talked about the investigation conducted by forensic experts before and after the death. Drug expert gave information about different drugs and how they are used by criminals.


Finally visited the Information Technology Wing, in which IT expert Mr. Gurminder Singh ji Gave detailed information about the steps taken for cyber security in the modern era. He also gave information about various courses being conducted for police forces.

Under the esteemed guidance of S. Birindar Singh Sidhu, IPS (Retd. DGP), President of the Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal), Dr. Jaswinder (Vice Principal), GHG Institute of law conducted the Battle of words ‘Mock Parliament Session’ on 04.03.25. The Constitution Bill, 2024( One Nation – One Election) was decided as Main agenda of discussion.In this session, students revealed their skills through debate, arguments, factual information and knowledge, valid questions etc. Session was devided into three rounds like GSL round, formal and informal debates according to its nature. It left behind the knowledge, facts, farsighted guidance and new suggestions helpful to make such programs more successful. Dr. Jaswinder ( Vice Principal and Associate Professor in Laws), Dr Harwinder Kaur (Assistant Professor in Laws) and Dr Lovely Sharma (Assistant Professor in Hindi) performed the duty of jury.
