Celebration Of Condtitution/Law Day

Constitution Day is celebrated on November 26th to honor the adoption of India’s Constitution in 1949. It emphasizes the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, recognizing Dr. BR Ambedkar’s contribution and advocating for civic engagement in building a democratic and inclusive society. So, Under the able guidance of S.B.S. Sidhu, IPS (Retd.DGP), President of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal), Dr. Jaswinder (Vice – Principal), IQAC and Day Celebration Committee of GHG Institute of law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana celebrated the Constitution Day by conducting the Documentary session on “Why do we celebrate the Constitution Day”.This session enlightened the minds of students with the history of formation, values and importance of constitution. Niranjan Singh from B.A.LL.B( Hons.) 5th Semester played the duty of stage Co-ordinator.


At the end, Off. Principal, Dr. Shweta Dhand and Dr. Jaswinder (Vice – Principal), appreciated the efforts of all the students and Incharges and promised to organize such events in the future also.

Celebration of Guru Purab with Devotion and Enlightenment on November 13,2024

In a reverent celebration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 555th birth anniversary, the GHG Institute of Law, Khalsa College for Women, GHG Harprakash College of Education for Women and Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School organized a memorable gathering at the campus Gurudwara Sahib. This event was made a broadcasting show under the special guidance and graced by Sardar Harmail Singh , the event, attended by students, faculty, principals, and trustees of the college managed by Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School. Dressed in traditional attire, the students exuded an aura of respect and reverence, their faces brightened by the spirit of Guru Nanak’s teachings on humility, love, and equality. As they reached the Gurudwara, they were greeted with the melodious strains of kirtan, which filled the sacred space, fostering a serene environment for prayer and contemplation. The principals of the Institute of Law and other departments, alongside trustees and college administrators, joined the students in the Gurudwara Sahib. Their presence underscored the collective commitment of the institution to honor Sikh traditions and uphold Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s vision of an inclusive and spiritually enriched society. Several members of the faculty also participated in reciting Ardas, the Sikh prayer, paying homage to the first Guru and his timeless messages. In a highlight of the event, the institution arranged for a special screening of a documentary on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The documentary, carefully selected for its historical depth and spiritual insight, guided the students through the remarkable journey of Guru Nanak’s life. The film offered a portrayal of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s emphasis on equality, the oneness of humanity, and the rejection of caste distinctions, illuminating his impact on both spiritual and social reform. The event concluded with a traditional langar, the community meal symbolizing equality and selfless service.

Students of GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd participated in PU Inter College Annual Athletic Meet held at Synthetic Athletic Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh. scheduled from 8th November, 2024-10th November. Students participated in various events. They participated in events such as Discus Throw, Shot put, 100 mtr race, 200 mtr race, 4X100 M relay race, Javelin throw, Long jump etc. Overall, it proved to be a great experience for the students wherein students competed against participants from various colleges. Participation in sports offers an array of benefits. It leads to teamwork and cultivates discipline among the students besides contributing to overall growth and development.
