Celebration of Safer Internter Day

Safer Internet Day, observed annually on February 11th, aims to promote a safer and more responsible digital environment. The theme for Safer Internet Day 2025, “Together for a Better Internet,” called for collective action to ensure a safer online space for all users.


Under the esteemed guidance of S. Birindar Singh Sidhu, IPS (Retd. DGP), President of the Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Dr. Shweta Dhand (Officiating Principal), Dr. Jaswinder (Vice Principal), IQAC and Day Celebration Committee of GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, successfully organized an awareness program through a PowerPoint presentation at Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School, Sidhwan Khurd.
As part of the event, Pranika Jain, B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Semester 4th student, shared her insights on the importance of internet safety and measures individuals can take to protect themselves online. Her presentation was well-received, reinforcing the significance of digital awareness and responsibility among students, encouraging them to actively contribute to building a safer internet for all.

Dr. Shweta Dhand (Off. Principal) expressed her appreciation for the efforts of participants and faculty coordinators, acknowledging their dedication and enthusiasm in making the event a resounding success.

GHG Institute of Law Sidhwan Khurd, running under the patronage of Shri Hargobind Ujaagar Hari Trust Sidhwan Khurd, organized a seminar on the topic ‘Environmental Management Protection: Issues and Challenges’ under the IQAC and Eco Club. This seminar was held on 15 February 2025 in collaboration with Pro Bono Club and Department of Law, PU Chandigarh, Nyaya Bandhu, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. Sports play a crucial role in nation-building by fostering a sense of unity and national pride. Through sports, students learn to become responsible and peaceful citizens who promote mutual respect. Participating in sports helps to develop essential values such as teamwork and cooperation. With this aim, Under the able guidance of Honorable President ,S.B.S. Sidhu ,IPS (Retd.DGP), of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, GHG Institute of law conducted pre – sports events for auspicious 65th Annual Sports Meet on 07.02.2025 and Prizes were distributed on 10.02.25 to all the declared winners by S. Harmail Singh Sidhu ji, Hon’ble Trust Member, SGHGU Hari Trust, Sidhwan Khurd. Various events like Long Jump, Shot put, 100 & 200mtr. Race, Three leg, sack and Spoon Potato Race, Discus and Javelin throw etc. were conducted at ground stadium. Dr Shweta Dhand Off. Principal and Dr Jaswinder, Vice Principal, appreciated the efforts of sports committee Dr. Harwinder Kaur Assistant Professor in Laws,Ms Manpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor in Political Science, Ms. Neha Minocha, Assistant Professor in Laws, Ms Jasdeep Kaur, Assistant Professor in Laws and Ms Maneet Kaur, Assistant Professor in Laws.

Sidhu ,IPS (Retd.DGP), of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust conducted its auspicious 65th Annual Sports Meet on 11.02.2025 by the Sidhwan Group of Institutions. The day was started with the arrival and welcome of our worthy Chief guest Dr. Harsimrat Kaur Grewal,PCS, Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner Ludhiana. After this, flag hoisting ceremony was performed by esteemed Chief Guest escorted by the NCC Wing. S. Birindar Singh Sidhu (IPS)DGP (Retd.)


President, SGHGU Hari Trust,S. Pritam Singh Johal (Secretary),Dr.Gurinder Singh Grewal (Manager) Dr. Harmail Singh Sidhu (Member),S. Devinder Singh Mann (Member),S. Jarnail Singh Dhillon (Member), graced the occasion with their presence. Ceremonies like lighting the torch, saluting the March Past, releasing the Balloons and pigeons had made the occasion more lively. Above One thousands Participants of all the Sister Institutions took part in the 65th Annual Sports Meet. Singing and Gidha was performed by the Students. Annual Sports activities Report was presented. The Chief Guest motivated the students with an inspirational speech and distributed the Prizes to the Participants. S. Jarnail Singh Dhillon (Member) of S.G.H.G.U Hari Trust extended the vote of thanks to the worthy chief Guest and congratulated the Sports activities Incharges of Institutions of Sidhwan to make it Successful Event. In order to celebrate the National Voters Day a rally was organized by IQAC and NSS of GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd. The main motive of the rally was to spread the message the every citizen must use their right of vote diligently. All the students of the institute along with the faculty members actively participated in the rally. The rally was inaugurated by the Officiating Principal Dr. Shweta Dhand and Vice Principal Dr. Jaswinder from the college campus at 01:00 Pm. During the rally, placards, slogans and posters were prepared by the students. Under the leadership of NSS Program Officer Assistant Professor Dr. Jaspal Kaur student of B.A.LL.B 8th sem Ms. Prabhjot Kaur administered oath to all students and staff members in connection with National Voters Day. Officiating Principal Dr. Shweta Dhand appreciated the efforts of the in-charges and congratulated them. The incharges of the event were Dr. Jaswinder (Vice Principal, Associate Professor in Law), Dr. Manjyot Kaur (Asst. The main objective of the orientation programme was to apprise the participants about the rules, regulations, formalities and the procedures for the conduct of Parliament, to imbibe leadership qualities, critical thinking,
democratic values, skills of debate and discussion in a healthy Manner
and to inculcate the sense of responsibility towards the nation among the students.

Under the able guidance of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujjagar Hari Trust, the Sidhwan Group of Institutions celebrated the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 22, 2025. The event was filled with devotion, enthusiasm and a series of religious and cultural activities that paid homage to the life and teachings of the revered Guru.
The program commenced with the Bhog ceremony of the Sehaj Path followed by soulful Shabad Kirtan and Kavishri performed by students and staff. Several students and faculty members delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting on the Guru’s unparalleled sacrifices and inspiring legacy. Dr. Harmail Singh, an honorable member of the trust, attended the Gurpurab event with his esteemed presence.The event was graced the occasion with his benign presence . At this occassion Dr. Satinder Kaur, Principal of Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd; Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Principal of GHG Harparkash College of Education; Dr. Shweta Dhand, Principal of GHG Institute of Law; Dr. Jaswinder, Vice Principal of GHG Institute Of Law; Mrs. Daljit Kaur, Principal of Sikh Girls Senior Secondary School, Sidhwan Khurd and Dr. Puneeta Sharma, Principal of GHG Public School, Sidhwan Khurd, Dr. G. Pavan Kumar were present.Their presence demonstrated the collective commitment to education, leadership, and community service.
The students demonstrated the principles of Guru Gobind Singh Ji by reciting shabads,poems and speeches. The sangat were urged to follow the path of Guru and teachings who dedicated his life against the social, political evils, religious injustice and exploitation prevalent in the society..
The stage was co-ordinated by Dr. Jagminder Kaur. At the end of the occasion, Langar was served to all, exemplifying the Guru’s principles of seva (selfless service) and humility.

The traditional festival of Lohri was celebrated on 13 Jan, 2025 at G.H.G Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd. under the able guidance of the Officiating Principal, Dr. Shweta Dhand and Vice Principal Dr. Jaswinder. The staff and students celebrated the occasion by customary ritual of offering Til and Gur to the bonfire and recited the traditional saying ” Issar aa, Dallider ja, Dallidar di Agg Chulle pa” which means put all your sorrows in bonfire and bring happiness and prosperity to all and enlivened the environment with festive fervour by singing traditional song “Sunder Munderiye Tera Kaun Vichara”.
The students entertained all by presenting their energetic dance on different songs. Staff also joined them to mark a symbol of unity and integrity. Groundnuts, Rewari, till Bhugga, Popcorn were distributed to staff and students.
Dr. Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal conveyed her message to the students and staff for taking maximum part in the old traditional festivals of the land and to enrich our Culture and traditions. She appreciated the efforts of organizing committee members Dr. Jaspal Kaur (Assistant Professor in Laws),
Dr. Lovely Sharma ( Assistant Prof in Hindi) and Ms. Charu Joshi ( Assistant Prof in Laws).

Our institute has registered a glorious victory in the 65th Inter-zonal Youth and Heritage Festival of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Our institute has registered a glorious victory in the 65th Inter-zonal Youth and Heritage Festival of Panjab University, Chandigarh. This Youth and Heritage Festival of session 2024 was organized from 11th November 2024 to 14th November 2024 at DAV College, Hoshiarpur in which the students of GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana performed brilliantly in various competitions.
Twenty seven (27) students of our institute participated in twelve (12) different competitions and won prizes including First Prize to Aanchal Garg of B.A.LL.B, (Hons.) 5th Semester in Essay writing competition and Individual Second Prize to Mallika Bhardwaj B.A.LL.B, (Hons.) 7th Semester in Skit competition.  It is a matter of pride for the institute that the students participated in the Inter-Varsity Youth and Heritage Festival.
